AMSTERDAM — Shares in Lakefront Biotherapeutics NV rose 7.36% to €28.30 on the Euronext Amsterdam exchange Wednesday, adding €1.94, as the company formerly known as Galapagos NV continued trading actively following its rebrand and broader strategic overhaul earlier this year.

Wednesday's gain builds on a volatile stretch for the stock, which had fallen 3.9% to €23.36 over the prior week, according to recent analysis from Simply Wall St, before rebounding sharply. The move leaves shares within range of their 52-week high of €27.12, based on recent trading data, though precise range figures have varied slightly across different exchanges given the stock's dual listing structure.

The Belgian biotechnology company completed its rebrand from Galapagos NV to Lakefront Biotherapeutics on May 8, following shareholder approval granted at the company's annual meeting on April 28. Shareholders at that meeting also approved the appointment of Henry Gosebruch as executive director, along with new remuneration plans for the company's board of directors. As part of the transition, the company's former Galapagos stock options were delisted and replaced with new options tied to the Lakefront Biotherapeutics ticker, effective the same date as the name change.
