This week, InSider commends two InDaily contributors for the jabs they got in over park lands and updates Adelaide’s event calendar.

Seems like our friends over at InDaily caused some drama this week. Naughty!

Amid the broader skirmish that is Mali v the Parklands, a side bout has commenced between two heavy-hitting foes.

Last Thursday, InDaily published an op-ed by the head of the Property Council of Australia’s state branch Bruce Djite.

In it, he called for a “serious review of the Adelaide City Council” and argued it was a barrier to progress.

“In 2025, it’s time to acknowledge what many residents, businesses, and even state officials have been whispering for years: the Adelaide City Council is no longer fit for purpose in its current form,” he wrote.

“A comprehensive review – and potentially a major overhaul – of the Council is urgently needed. The state government must step in and explore significant changes to how the heart of our capital is governed.”

InDaily being the balanced publication it is, then accepted an op-ed from none other than the Lord Mayor of the very body Djite was criticising.

Dr Jane Lomax-Smith didn’t hold back and hit Djite with a couple of big punches of her own.
