It’s no secret that California and Hawaii are desirable states to live in—and for good reason. However, according to a new report, to rent a two-bedroom home in either of these states, you’ll now need a six-figure salary.

For a two-bedroom home rental, residents in both of these states need to make roughly over $100,00 in order to fit within the guidelines of affordable living, which is considered spending less than 30 percent of your income on housing. Using data from the National Low Income Housing Coalition, a new map made by Visual Capitalist notes that more than half of U.S. households who rent........
