Ritzy bicoastal co-working club NeueHouse closed its doors for good late last week — a move so sudden members had 48 hours to scramble to gather their belongings before abandoning its California and New York locations.
The company cited financial struggles as the death knell, with no “sustainable path forward.” Notably, the closure comes one month after the death of NeueHouse’s founder, entrepreneur Joshua Abram, 62, from multiple myeloma, according to a New York Times report, which may have contributed to the decision to close the clubs in September.
