As a Division I lacrosse player, Sierra Ryan knows that food is fuel. But early in her college sports career she had trouble finding a nutrition plan to optimize her performance that catered to her unique metabolic needs. Ryan found that many athletes struggle to fuel themselves adequately for the demands of their sport.
So, she decided to create a solution. During her sophomore year at Arizona State University, Ryan launched FuelWarden, an AI- and data-driven nutrition management platform for elite athletes. Through ASU’s Student Athlete Venture Studio, built in collaboration with GoDaddy Empower, Ryan gained access to critical resources including capital, mentorship and GoDaddy’s AI-powered digital tools aimed at helping bring ideas online faster and easier.
“ASU and GoDaddy stepped in at a great time,” Ryan says. “GoDaddy provided great tools to set up the business so I could focus on our mission rather than on infrastructure tasks.”
Ryan’s experience reflects a broader shift happening across entrepreneurship. More people are turning ideas into businesses with the help of AI-powered technology and trusted guidance that help remove barriers to getting started.
For GoDaddy, that’s part of a broader commitment to make opportunity more inclusive for all—a theme reflected throughout the company’s 2025 Global Stakeholder Impact Report. Whether through AI-powered tools, expert Care guidance, or partnerships like those between GoDaddy Empower and ASU, the goal is to help more people turn ideas into businesses.
