OpenAI Just Dropped GPT-5.5 and Says the New Model Intuits What You Need Before You Ask

And in ChatGPT, the AI model will give people ‘smarter and more concise answers.’

OpenAI’s latest model is here. The company says that new AI model, GPT-5.5, is extremely skilled at intuiting its user’s needs, and is the most effective ever at undertaking economically-viable work. 

In a pre-release briefing, Open AI president and cofounder Greg Brockman said that GPT-5.5 is “way more intuitive to use,” and can accomplish “more with less guidance.” According to Brockman, this newfound intuition makes GPT-5.5 much better at tasks that are “intelligence bottlenecked,” like coding, scientific research, and general knowledge work. “It can look at an........
