Microsoft’s gaming business has been losing ground for over a year. This week, its new CEO signaled she is done waiting to turn things around.

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma announced a series of new leadership appointments in a memo to employees this week. The move is notable given that Sharma herself only stepped into the role in February as gaming chief Phil Spencer announced his retirement.

“We need to evolve how we work and how we are organized across our platform,” Sharma wrote in a memo.........
