Nearly Half of American Airlines’ Ticket Revenue Comes From Just 30 Percent of Its Seats

American Airlines just announced record sales, and that boost came from the very front of the plane.

Earlier today, the $9 billion carrier announced its quarterly revenue hit an all-time high of $16.7 billion, up 16.3 percent year-over-year. Much of that increase was driven by the airport lounge crowd shelling out for first-class and business-class tickets.
