People Are Sharing Why Their Kids Kicked Off And I Feel Instantly Better
Parents are spilling the tea on the random reasons their child had a tantrum – and I have to admit, it’s making me feel far better about the time things went nuclear because I didn’t let my then three-year-old have a wee on our drive.
In a post shared to r/Parenting, user ScholarNecessary2838 asked, “Why did your toddler have a meltdown today?”
She then revealed her three-year-old daughter had asked to do some colouring, and had asked her to colour with her. So far, so calm.
The mum recalled: “I set out all our colouring stuff, let her pick the page she wants to colour and a page for me. All is going well until...” (we all know where this is going) “she looks over at me, and absolutely LOSES her mind…”
“MOMMY YOU ARE COLOURING WRONG. STOP COLOURING LIKE THAT!!”
Her daughter then started sobbing “uncontrollably”, muttering she was “doing it all wrong” and saying the (probably quite baffled) parent doesn’t “follow rules”.
After some serious detective work, the mum figured out it had all kicked off because she had been using her left hand to colour.
“I AM LEFT HANDED. She had an absolute meltdown because I colour with my left hand and not my right hand like her,” said the bemused mum.
“When I tried to explain and show I can’t use my right hand to colour BECAUSE I AM LEFT HANDED, she became absolutely, utterly UN. FREAKING. HINGED.”
And, of........
