Marjorie Taylor Greene Rips Trump's Venezuela Attack: 'We Have Real Problems Here At Home'

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (Republican, Georgia) on Monday decried President Donald Trump on CNN for bombing Venezuela and forcibly removing its leader Nicolás Maduro — noting she helped elect Trump to stop such “globalist” behaviour.

Greene discussed the “concerning” trajectory of his administration on The Source.

“We can say thankfully that Maduro has been arrested, we can say we’re happy for the Venezuelan people, but we can also look to all the regime changes before — in Iraq and Libya and Syria — and we said the same things for the people of those countries,” she said.

Greene continued, “But then watched those countries fall into turmoil and civil war and we’ve watched the rise of ISIS and terrorism, and we watched US troops remain in those countries for a very long time and many flag-draped coffins come home.”

The Georgia Republican added that this is precisely what “many Americans don’t want” in regard to Venezuela, and that “it is disturbing to see the latest news” coming out of the South American country “where there is chaos and possibly some sort of civil war.”
