Neil Young is calling on Donald Trump to stop squabbling with musicians and start doing his “real job”.

In a pointed post on his personal website on Tuesday, the Ohio singer told the US president he should focus on “saving America from the mess” he made instead of obsessing over people who have criticised him, like Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift.

“What are you worryin’ about man?” Young’s message began. “Bruce and thousands of musicians think you are ruining America. You worry about that instead of the dyin’ kids in Gaza.”

“That’s your problem. I am not scared of you,”........
