You know you’re an adult when you start caring about your electric toothbrush. Admittedly, until now I’ve only seen my toothbrush as a tool to get a very boring, but necessary, task done.

For the last three years, I’ve been using the same toothbrush I got on sale at Boots, without thinking too critically about it.

Recently, I realised it’s not performing quite as well as it once did. I’ve been dragging my feet to buy a new one because I can’t stop thinking about how long it’s going to take for the plastic to biodegrade in a landfill when I throw it away.
