My Oxford Year is now streaming on Netflix

Between our ongoing obsession with Emily In Paris and all the recent love for Lena Dunham’s Too Much, it seems we really can’t get enough of an adventure abroad.

Netflix has read the room and promised to keep the romantic jet-setting adventures coming – and the new original movie My Oxford Year looks like it could be a perfect watch for fans of those aforementioned feel-good shows.

Based on Julia Whelan’s bestselling 2018 novel of the same name, My Oxford Year stars Sofia Carson as an ambitious American woman who moves across the pond with a dream of studying at Oxford, where she falls for a charming Brit called Jamie, played by Corey Mylchreest.

The behind-the-scenes team sound just as promising, with a screenplay by Autumn In New York writer Allison Burnett, while The Inbetweeners creator and Bafta nominee Iain Morris is on directing duties.
