'Take It To The Bank': Trump's 'Delusional' New Claim Might Haunt Him Very, Very Soon
President Donald Trump on Thursday may have given Democrats some fresh material to work into their campaign ads during next year’s midterm elections.
While many analysts believe rising prices played a big part in the overwhelming Democratic victories during this week’s elections, the president urged people to stop talking about it.
“I don’t want to hear about the affordability, because right now, we’re much less,” he said as he touted a Walmart Thanksgiving dinner package that costs 25% less than last year’s version.
That meal, however, contains fewer items than last year’s bundle and includes more generic items instead of national brands.
And overall, despite Trump’s claims, seven in 10 Americans say in a new poll that they pay more for groceries now than they did a year ago.
Ironically, just one day earlier, Trump had a completely different take on affordability as he urged Republicans to mention it more often.
“They have this new word called ‘affordability,’” Trump said during a Fox News interview. “And they don’t talk about it enough.”
Now, however, he said he doesn’t want to hear about it.
Critics called out the president for ignoring what remains a significant problem for millions of Americans.
They fired back on X:
He's completely delusional, and not a single person around him will ever........
