Retired National Guard Major General Randy Manner knocked President Donald Trump’s use of the military for a parade on his birthday, claiming that it conflicts with how the US Army celebrates the branch’s anniversary.
“We usually have some cake, we recognise the eldest Army person, the youngest, we say a few speeches and we tell some stories. And so it’s one of those things where it’s an overblown use of a demonstration of power,” he told MSNBC’s Katy Tur.
