What can be done about a neighbor's barking dogs nuisance?

Barking dogs are not typically a priority for law enforcement, so don't expect immediate results if you call police to address noise coming from a neighbor's animals.

Q: What recourse do two homeowners have when their neighbor’s dogs bark constantly?

A: The homeowners should call their homeowners' association (if they have one) as well as their local police, or if there is no such local police department, then their constable or sheriff, to see if any of them can force the neighbor to keep the dogs from barking.
