Is it trespassing when golfers take a shortcut over private land?

The owner of the land posted a "private property - no through traffic" sign at each end of the street golfers had used to access the course.

Q: In our subdivision in Texas, there is a golf course we can access by driving across another person's land. The street is a popular shortcut for members of the golf course, and it has been used that way for decades. Recently, the owner of the land posted a "private property — no through traffic" sign at each end of the street. Can the members of the golf course still use the shortcut despite the posted signs?

A: Probably not.

From the wording of your question, it sounds like driving across this person's land is not the only way to access the golf course. Instead, it appears that this street happens to be a quick way for some people to get there without having to drive........
