You may need to fight for your child in Texas special education. Here's how.

Two years ago, I was in the thick of learning about special education and available resources for my children.

I recently wrote about how Houston ISD assessed my children to be autistic when they were not. It was a stressful time, and I thought if I did my homework, asked pertinent questions and expressed my deep concern for my children, everything would be fine.

That's not what happened.
