I doubt if many are surprised by the fall of Turkey Leg Hut, which had a meteoric rise to national fame as one of the city's most popular restaurants.

Despite the flavorful menu and the celebrity clientele, the restaurant, located on Almeda Road, has been riddled with controversy and legal problems for years. It was also a major headache for the surrounding community that diligently tried to protest traffic, noise, smoke and other nuisances the restaurant brought to the area with some 30,000 customers weekly.
