Sewing: My experience covering Diddy was scary, even without 'freak offs'

I used to tell the story of covering Sean "Diddy" Combs' celebrity weekend in Houston in 2003 like an observer who witnessed something strange and was trying to make sense of it.
Nothing sexual occurred. I wasn't lured into one of Combs' alleged "freak offs" and did not know of alleged sexual improprieties, assaults or trafficking. But it was the one time in my career as a journalist, who then covered fashion and celebrities, that I didn't feel safe.
I didn't understand why. I was only there to cover a party.
