Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo flies to Chicago for the Democratic National Convention accompanied by her cat.

A sea of blue suits, dresses and ties in safe sartorial diplomacy was on display on the first night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Monday.

But when Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo took to the stage to speak in an off-the-shoulder, purple-cobalt blue look by Houston designer Chloe Dao and neon lime-green painted nails, she surprisingly gave the Democratic party an infusion of bold, youthful style.

Now, those words aren't typically used........
