At first glance, 3rd Coast BBQ & Catering in the Oak Ridge North area of Spring looks like nothing more than a small take-out window.
But if you look past the adjacent, full-height chalkboard menu, you'll find an expansive covered patio lined with picnic tables reminiscent of the crawfish boil joints that pop-up in Southeast Texas every spring.
This is not a coincidence. The building that currently houses this family-friendly neighborhood barbecue joint started out as one of these iconic crawfish huts. For owners Troy and Deidra “Dee Dee” Mulligan, it was the perfect match for their growing barbecue business.
