Sorry, Alan, but the tide has turned on the nonsensical gender ideology era

I am tempted to view recent developments around sex and gender as a turning of the tide. It’s as though a secret signal had been received warning its disciples that devotion to gender ideology is now evaporating on any contact with Scottish and UK law and that they are running out of road room.

The memo by a BBC insider detailing the influence and activities of a powerful LGBTQ department within the organisation was a moment of truth and clarity that has shaken it to its core. Effectively, the self-styled world’s most trusted news organisation, funded by the British taxpayer, was in thrall to what I'd call a propaganda unit.

Shortly after, the chief constable of Police Scotland was giving evidence to Holyrood's public petitions committee. Declaring that she wanted to clear up ‘confusion’ about their policy on gender identity, Jo Farrell said that a man who rapes or attempts to rape any victim ‘is, should be and will be’ registered as a male.

Ms Farrell attempted to play down the significance of this by saying that while Police Scotland had been recording the biological sex of offenders in sexual crimes and rape cases since 2018, a decision had been taken to “expand that across all crimes”. She said that while any male offender or suspected offender would be recorded as a man, the force would “seek to engage” with them thereafter in their preferred gender identity.
