Crypts are creaking open and stakes are being sharpened at the announcement a reboot – or, perhaps more pertinently, revamp – of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is in the works.
Star Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to return for a pilot episode on the Hulu network, with Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao attached to direct and Poker Face writers Nora and Lilla Zuckerman on hand to handle the script.
The reboot will not involve series creator Joss Whedon, who has been accused of bullying and inappropriate behaviour on the set of the original – allegations which he denies.
