Why The Herald and Glasgow Times are investigating the future of the city
It goes without saying how much Glasgow means to both our newspapers.
The Herald - the world's longest running national - was founded here 242 years ago. It has always had an office in the city centre and honours its Glasgow roots with a pride and passion.
The clue is in the title for the Glasgow Times, which has dedicated itself to serving the people of this great city since its first copy hit the newsstands in 1876.
Glasgow runs through the blood of both our titles, past and present, and our teams are as passionate about the city - its past, present and future - as our predecessors from whom we have proudly become custodians of these long-running and trusted brands.
But we have never joined........
