The numbers are hard to ignore. More than five lakh tourists visited Kashmir in just four and a half months of 2026. April alone brought over 1.32 lakh visitors. With road, rail and air connectivity only improving, and the peace hopefully holding, the numbers are set to increase further. After the dark shadow cast by the Pahalgam attack of April 2025, a region that many feared would take years to recover is finding its footing again.
