Operation Sindoor was launched by Indian forces in response to a series of attacks that shook civilian life in Kashmir, most notably the Pahalgam incident. In strategic and political circles, the operation is being viewed as a turning point in India’s approach towards terror infrastructure being operated across the border and within the region.For the last several decades, successive Indian dispensations and security agencies have been maintaining that Pakistan is playing a role in supporting, training, and facilitating terrorist groups active in Jammu and Kashmir. These allegations have turned out to be true every time in the context of multiple attacks and the continued presence of cross-border infiltration networks. 

The Pakistan sponsored terrorism has badly impacted the region and most importantly the ordinary Kashmiris have borne the brunt as thousands of innocent lives have been lost over the years. Civilians, security personnel and even youth are caught in the cycle of violence with the result the socio-economic fabric of the valley has repeatedly been disrupted due to dislocation, trauma, melancholy and ambiguity.
