There is no end to the consternation and sheer panic about the future of jobs in the AI era. AI entrepreneur Matt Shumer recently hit the panic button in a highly cited tweeted essay that suggests that AI is about to smack us down just as hard as COVID did in February 2020. Dario Amodei, co-founder of Anthropic, delivered a similar dour prediction at the end of last year.
