Not every business leader is thrilled about the direction of the AI industry. In fact, Palantir CEO Alex Karp believes too much reliance on the industry, particularly for national security, is “effing insane.”

In an interview with CNBC to promote his company’s new partnership with Nvidia, Karp accused AI companies of imposing a “wealth tax” on businesses by charging high fees for their tools, while also collecting valuable data that could improve their models.

“This is the voice of American business that is being channeled through me,” he said Wednesday, suggesting other CEOs are privately expressing similar feelings toward AI companies.
