Inside A $12.75 Million Jupiter Home Luring New Owners Into Its Orbit

“Midwestern people tend to gravitate more to Naples,” says Palm Beach-based agent Krista Barth of The Keyes Company. “But Jupiter really is the place to be for someone from Manhattan. It’s a bit like the Hamptons—affluent, sophisticated, relaxed.”

Barth and co-listing agent Stacy Cragg aim to attract an elite buyer to turnkey residence 5706 Holly Lane in Jupiter’s prestigious Pennock Point community, about 20 miles north of West Palm Beach. This coastal neighborhood is dotted with waterfront homes owned by executives, entrepreneurs and professional athletes who’ve earned their notch in the “billionaire belt” of Florida’s Palm Beach County.

Jupiter’s vibe vs. Palm Beach proper? Laidback vs. lah-di-da. Affluence without attitude.

This particular home, 5,099 square feet on a private 0.6-acre lot designed by Hughes Umbanhowar Architects, sits unapologetically modern within a community whose homes historically lean towards maximalist Mediterranean-style mansions. But the tides are turning as those homes, built in the 1960s through ’80s, are being leveled and rebuilt, many in contemporary minimalist style. “Even though I live in a Mediterranean-style home myself, the look is tired,” Barth concedes with a laugh.

Living large on the water

One doesn’t purchase a residence here without fully committing to the Loxahatchee River lifestyle. This ultra-private stretch of tranquil waterway bobs with yachts docked in front of owners’ homes, ready to putter close along the shore to a sunset dinner at one of many coastal-chic restaurants, or go out to sea for a day of serious sportfishing. The Atlantic is just minutes from here, and pleasure cruising among the dolphins and manatees in this neighborhood is simply a way of life.

Barth adds: “There’s a lot of camaraderie here. When you pull your boat up, there are five other people on the dock, ready to help you tie up.” Included in the sale of the home is a fairly new Jet Ski—locals use this mode of easy transport daily.

A chip shot from the PGA Corridor

Jupiter has one of the highest concentrations of resident golf pros in the world. The PGA’s Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas and Tiger Woods practice at home and in private, ultra-exclusive clubs here year-round. Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler’s sprawling Jupiter mansions were featured in the Netflix series Full Swing.

Any golf enthusiast considering Holly Lane should know that its location is just a chip shot from the PGA Corridor. And that the best and most traveled golfers in the world who live here might just know a thing or two about location. The Jack Nicklaus-designed Bear’s Club, the PGA National Resort (home of the Cognizant Classic) and The Country Club at Mirasol are just some of the world-class facilities for serious golfers.

Florida sunshine as standard

Relaxing after a day at sea or on palm-lined links back at this stunner of a property is simple. Florida sunshine floods into every room, light shifting throughout the day via soaring floor-to-ceiling windows that retract, giving the sensation that this residence almost floats without walls. Four bedrooms are ideal for a family, and a separate convertible guest wing can be closed off for privacy.

A monochromatic palette of crisp white and steely gray throughout the interior and exterior just make good architectural and design sense. White gallery walls offer a clean slate that beg for bold artwork, or a designer wallpaper saturated with color and personality. The living spaces are unfussy and uncluttered, with custom sectional sofas by B&B Italia and Design Within Reach that curl around low tables. The living, dining, kitchen and family rooms can easily transition to one continuous open-concept space.

Outside, a breezeway wraps around the home’s entire exterior—a deliberate design choice suited to hosting outdoor parties that overlook the water in this subtropical setting. A EURO-edge saltwater pool and hot tub plus outdoor kitchen complete the let’s bring it outside entertaining package.

When you own a home like this, expect visits from out-of-town guests. Palm Beach International Airport is just 30 minutes away, and nearby private hangars abound.

If one still needed more space to host friends and family, there is enough land on the property to build an outparcel as a guest house, and it would seem natural to extend the established contemporary style.

Possible to enjoy a Hamptons lifestyle year-round? “We see that as absolutely doable,” says Barth. Long Island in the summer, Jupiter in the winter. Easy.
