DENIM SPIRIT: When facing ‘everything’

Such a small thing to stand in my way. Thirteen inches of harsh white framed by a thin border. Mercilessly empty and ruthlessly silent. I would much rather be sharing thoughts with the intrepid dear readers of this column, but between me and them is you, Blank Page.

“Hey, Blank Page! You know what my problem with you is? Everything. ‘Everything’ is what I want to write about because it’s ‘everything’ I am upset about. You’re a bit like my prayer list, which holds so many names with such sorrow and pain that every time I open it I’m placed in a realm of tempestuous emotions. You see, all those prayer concerns opens me to feeling fear, hope, sorrow, hurt, angst, anger, conviction, affection, and more. Ironically, that is exactly what happens when we face each other eyeball to eyeball. Blank Page, you can evoke anything and so you........
