Congratulations to Gillian Mackay and Ross Greer on their election as co-leaders of the Scottish Greens.

This is a moment of major change for the Greens.

Patrick Harvie has led the party in Scotland since 2008 and in that time it has been transformed from a party largely of protest to one of government, delivering meaningful change to people’s lives.

Together with Lorna Slater in the top roles, Green MSPs delivered free under-22s bus travel, rent protections, and record climate and nature investment.

That is a record to be proud of and to build on.
