The biggest strangers in the UK are Keir Starmer and his principles
Where to start with Keir Starmer’s capitulation to the nasty and divisive forces poisoning our politics?
After disastrous local election results in England, he has decided to lean into the false narratives being peddled by Reform, by launching an 82-page white paper on immigration.
His “island of strangers” comment used at the launch was straight out of Enoch Powell’s playbook - and he and his speechwriters knew it.
Seeing Anas Sarwar and others wheeled out to defend that disgraceful and dangerous remark has been thoroughly tawdry.
The rhetoric is vile, but the policies in the white paper are as stupid as they are hurtful.
