Should anyone be allowed to take a real image of a 14-year-old girl, access artificial intelligence technology and produce a video that makes it look like she is participating in a pornographic video and release that video online?

Shockingly, many people think the answer is yes.

Sadly, a number of those people contacted my Newstalk1010 radio show to voice that opinion regarding the controversy surrounding the Elon Musk-owned social-media platform X and its AI program Grok.

I was discussing this story, as reported by CTV News: “Artificial Intelligence Minister Evan Solomon says Canada isn’t considering a ban of the social media platform X, though his office says discussions about X’s deepfake controversy are underway.”

Concern has been voiced worldwide over the unfettered nature........
