The large hole, measuring around 80 centimetres in length, appeared on the B1062 in Mettingham, near Bungay, in early February.

The incident unfolded at about 5.30pm on Monday, February 9, when multiple vehicles struck the pothole, leaving several motorists stranded with punctured tyres.

Suffolk Police were called to the scene, where officers put out cones and warning signs. Highways officials were also alerted.

Now, frustrated road users have since expressed frustration after Suffolk County Council declined to pay compensation in a number of cases.
