After months of discussions with Suffolk County Council's flood team, Lidl has successfully addressed concerns and convinced officials to remove an objection to its proposed Halesworth store.

This comes after the retailer altered its plans for the store off Norwich Road on land at Hammonds Garage to the north of the town.

Now the council, as the lead local flood authority, has removed its holding objection to the plans and has recommended "approval of this application........
