On Saturday, May 16, the River Waveney Trust marked the announcement with a community event at Falcon Meadow in Bungay.

The celebration brought together locals for live folk music, conservation activities, and a paddle-out organised by Surfers Against Sewage.

As well as marking the achievement, the charity used the occasion to gather public feedback on plans for a new accessible swimming entry point at the site.
