Jake Brown, 19, was at the wheel of a VW Polo when he refused to stop for officers in North Walsham after speeding off from traffic lights.

Norwich Magistrates’ Court was told the pursuit then continued at speeds of up to 80mph across the town on Cromer Road, Mundesley Road, Vicarage Street, Bacton Road and Crow Road.

Sarah Fiddy, prosecuting, said he had sped through stretches with 20mph and 30mph speed limits in place at over 50mph, before turning off his headlights despite it........
