Two historic pubs put up for sale following owner's death
The Fleece Inn at Bungay and The Layer Fox at Layer-de-la-Haye, near Colchester, have been owned by Caroline Compton and husband Jonathan for the past 10 years.
Jonathan died in 2023 and his widow has decided to put both pubs on the market.

She hopes to hand the reins over to new owners who can take them on to their next chapter, said agents Christie & Co.
The Fleece Inn has an asking price of £695k while The Layer Fox is on the market is being offered up for £495k.
