East of England Co-op boss to stand down after achieving major turnaround
Andy Rigby, chief executive of East of England Co-op, has announced plans to step down in early 2027 following a planned transition period and the appointment of a successor.
He has led three consecutive years of profit growth at the business - which is based at Wherstead Park, Ipswich, and operates across the region.

He will play an active role in the recruitment and appointment of his successor before stepping down.
During his tenure he has expanded the footprint of the business to take in two more counties, invested in new and existing stores and branches and grown the travel business.
Highlights have including opening of the chain's first cashless convenience store at Ipswich Station.
