Former infant school set to expand as trust brings it back to life

Ravensmere Infant School in St Benedict's Road, Beccles, shut its doors in July last year as the school moved to the nearby Albert Pye Primary School site at Frederick’s Road.

But now the Consortium Trust, which runs several schools across Norfolk and Suffolk, has submitted plans for the building ahead of opening its new school on the site.

The proposal submitted to East Suffolk Council includes a single-storey extension and aims to accommodate the increased demand of state-funded specialist educational needs and disabilities (SEND) schools in the area.

This includes new staff and pupil toilets, a kitchenette, a bedroom, and a cleaner's store.
