Farmers say dog walking park would 'raise more cash than growing crops'
North Norfolk District Council granted permission to the Cushing family to transform the field next to Thursford cemetery.
Speaking at a meeting this week, Victoria Cushing, who runs a farm with her husband Henry, said the one-acre site would generate more income than they currently get growing crops there.

She said: "We do not make enough money from our crops ... this would raise about £6,000 a year, more than if we grow any crops."
The plans also include creating a car park, which can be used by visitors to the nearby cemetery.

However, Norfolk County Council's highways officials warned the single track road was unsuitable for the extra traffic, as it has limited places to pass, claiming it would be unsafe.
Despite a recommendation to block the plans, councillors gave little weight to the highway concerns and argued the dog walking field, which must be booked to be used, would only generate about one visitor an hour.
It was ultimately approved with strong support from the committee.
