The blaze was first reported on Market Street in Shipdham at around 4.15pm on Wednesday (April 22), with reports a commerical building was on fire.

It saw 11 fire crews called to the scene with a road closure put in place while they attended.

Locals said they thought a barn had caught fire.

A neighbour, who lives on the affected street, said they spotted police cars in the area - adding that a cordon was still in place by 9.15pm.
