Pensioner and pet dog left 'covered in blood' after park attack
Paul Rose dropped to the ground and cradled his dog Reg, subsequently getting injured himself in attempting to free his pet from the clutches of two bulldogs.
Both Mr Rose, 74, and Reg, eight, needed emergency treatment after being left "covered in blood" from the attack.
Shocked onlookers shouted for help as the drama unfolded in Pakefield, Lowestoft at around 8.30am on Sunday, April 26.
Mr Rose - known as Roscoe - was walking Reg with two friends and their pet dog on Pakefield Park, near the Kirkley & Pakefield football ground and Walmer Road.
