The place of worship is described as one of Lowestoft's "most recognised" buildings.

The South Lowestoft Methodist Church on the corner of Carlton Road and London Road South in the Kirkley part of the town was dedicated on March 16, 1963 - having opened on the site of the old Lorne Park Road church, which had been built in 1904.

But after celebrating its 60th anniversary, the church was no longer needed by its members as it was closed and put up for sale late last........
