Clifftop church exposed to power of Mother Nature launches major appeal
Dating back more than 900 years to the 11th Century, All Saints & St Margaret’s in Pakefield - known as the 'Parish Church on the cliff' - became the first English church to be significantly rebuilt and re-dedicated after the Second World War as it held services by 1950.

Situated on Pakefield clifftops, in south Lowestoft, the church is a combination of two former parishes - All Saints and St Margaret's - a pair of semi detached churches that had their own Rector and Patron.

By the 1700s there was just one Rector as the dividing wall was demolished.

The church's entire roof structure was destroyed with most of the internal furnishings rendered unusable when two incendiary bombs hit the thatched roof back in 1941.
