Over the past year Pontins Pakefield Holiday Village, near Lowestoft has been transformed with accommodation for about 500 workers who will be constructing Sizewell C nearby as part of a "legacy" impact for the area.

Sizewell C has refurbished the site as it provides temporary worker accommodation over a 10-year period during the construction period for the nuclear power plant.

With the existing chalet accommodation at Pakefield Holiday Village already in use for the Sizewell C construction workers, a new development was proposed for the site on London Road, Gisleham in August last year.

And now, almost a year on, plans for the land at the park site are set to be voted on next week - with the proposals having been "subject to extensive amendment and assessment."
