Bank wants to put off birds nesting at town centre branch

Barclays Bank is proposing the installation of bird netting and bird point systems to the back of its branch in Lowestoft.

It is proposing works "to act as a physical exclusion measure" to prevent birds from landing, nesting or occupying the roof surface.

Plans lodged by agents Stride Treglown, on behalf of Barclays Bank UK PLC for the branch at 61-63 London Road North were submitted to East Suffolk Council in March.
