Ryan Leggett, 35, of no fixed address, is on trial at Ipswich Crown Court accused of attempting to murder a woman in the early hours of November 23, 2024.

Prosecutor Duncan O’Donnell read a statement from the alleged victim's close friend, who described receiving a series of messages.

One read: “Ryan just had a knife to my throat. Massive kitchen knife. I walked in on him cheating.”
