Police family liaison officer who had sex with vulnerable widow jailed
Forbes Scott - who won a Stars of Norfolk award during a long and distinguished career with the force - was sentenced to 22 months in prison after admitting misconduct in a public office.
Judge Martyn Levett said he had taken advantage of a vulnerable woman in a “state of crisis", having started a relationship with her just weeks after her husband's death.
He said that one occasion Scott had touched the woman’s breasts while consoling her after she collapsed crying. “This wasn’t accidental,” said the judge.

He said that Scott’s visits to the woman had become more frequent and were sometimes late at night and he had also made comments about her late husband’s family which made her feel isolated.
He retired from the force in 2020 and his behaviour came to light in March 2023 when the woman was having counselling for an unrelated matter.
The former PC was arrested in September 2023.........
